#LIVINGROOMTODAY is a hybrid physical-digital performance space that transforms living rooms into collaborative global stages. Created by smilesoft.dev, the project reimagines how audiences engage with live performance by integrating real-time participation over the internet.


At its core, #LIVINGROOMTODAY breaks down traditional barriers between performer and viewer, turning spectators into active participants. By leveraging the speed of IP-based communication, the show enables seamless interactions across different locations, allowing people to contribute without any prior technical knowledge.


The project serves as an experiment in real-time, audience-driven media, emphasizing connection, spontaneity, and shared creative expression. It aligns with the broader philosophy of smilesoft.dev, which focuses on pushing the boundaries of interactive media by giving audiences agency in shaping the experience.

Compusa.Live is an avant-garde performance series that blends digital absurdity with real-time audience interaction. The show emulates the chaotic experience of navigating a cluttered computer desktop, transforming technical difficulties into engaging theater. In 2018, CompUSA Live premiered its second season at the New Museum, presented by Rhizome, showcasing its innovative approach to live digital performance.  


The performance centers on a team attempting to recreate the CompUSA experience live, offering a self-referential and humorous exploration of our relationship with technology. By staging this chaos in real-time, the show resonates with audiences familiar with the frustrations of technical glitches, turning them into a source of entertainment.
